Dr. Nitin Rai Vohra is a prominent E.N.T Surgeon from Hyderabad and is a great photography enthusiast. He is a life member of Telangana Photographic Society (TPS), Photographic Society of India (PSI), Photowalks Hyderabad (PWH), Youth Photography Society (YPS), Telangana Photographers & Videographers Profession Association (TPVPA), SIA photo organization and Photo fountain.

Dr. Vohra started his photography journey a decade ago with guidance from Mr. Sauarabh Chaterjee & SIA photoogs ; but passion turned into skill under the umbrella & guidance of TPS. A canon sniper & loves landscape & street photography. Whether it is the meditative process of waiting for the perfect light on a landscape, or the thrill of street photography where you have only a fraction of a second to react, he juggles between both extremes with proficient dexterity.

Syam Sundar Potturi is a distinguished wildlife photographer and conservation enthusiast based in Hyderabad, India. While he balances a professional career in the technology sector, he has gained national recognition as a “visual storyteller of the avian world.” His work is characterized by a deep patience for natural behavior and an artistic eye for moments that often go unnoticed by the casual observer.

The Photography Journey
While has done photography since the age of 16, Syam’s journey into serious wildlife photography began relatively recently but evolved with remarkable speed and intensity.
The Catalyst (2019): His passion was ignited in March 2019 during a visit to Ameenpur Lake in Hyderabad. Capturing the elegant migrations of flamingos served as the foundational spark for what would become an obsessive pursuit of avian documentation.

The COVID-19 Transition: Like many, the global pandemic served as a pivotal period. During the lockdowns, birding and photography became his primary tool for navigating the isolation, leading him to explore the micro-habitats and lakes within the Telangana region.
Artistic Philosophy: Syam is known for prioritizing behavioral aesthetics over standard “catalog” shots. He often seeks “the frame within the frame”—such as the specific crown-like splash made by a diving Kingfisher or the complex interactions of brood parasitism (e.g., an Ashy Prinia feeding a Grey-bellied Cuckoo).

Scientific Documentation: Beyond the art, Syam contributes to the scientific community by documenting rare behaviors and sightings. His photographs of brood parasitism in Nallagandla and Zaheerabad are frequently cited by fellow birders for their clarity and timing.

Saurabh’s dream is to see India and to make every camera-owner a great photographer. He has been traveling and documenting the landscape, people, culture and festivals of our country for more than two decades.

He leads Photography Tours across India. Through his Photowalks, Photo-Tours and Photography Classes he has shared his knowledge with more than 6000 photography enthusiasts across the world since 2011.

More than 500 of his works have been published in several national and international publications including the National Geographic Traveller India, Lonely Planet, Timeout Explorer (UK), The Times (London, UK), The Economist, UK, etc.

He has won several national and international Photography awards for his works. His pictures have been exhibited around the world. He was chosen as one of the photographers by Kerala Tourism to work on the prestigious project – Lenscape Kerala.

Saurabh also works with several NGOs documenting their work. Some of them are Sight and Life Foundation, Switzerland, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, National Innovation Foundation (IIM-A) and UNICEF, etc.

Photography entered my life as a way of observing the world more slowly.

My journey began through travel, culture, architecture, and the quiet details of everyday life. As I moved across different parts of India, my camera became a companion helping me document not just places, but the emotions, textures, silences, and stories that lived within them.

Coming from a background in visual arts, paper-cutting, education, and cultural storytelling, my photography naturally carries a layered perspective. I am drawn to heritage spaces, human expressions, architectural forms, rituals, landscapes, and moments that often go unnoticed. For me, photography is not just about capturing beauty; it is about preserving a feeling, a memory, a pause, a presence.

My work is deeply influenced by Indian culture, temple architecture, old cities, handmade traditions, and the relationship between people and spaces. Whether I am photographing a monument, a street, a portrait, or a product, I look for composition, emotion, natural light, and the invisible story behind the frame.

Over time, photography has become an extension of my artistic practice. It supports my work as a visual storyteller, artist, curator, and brand thinker. It allows me to translate what I see into narratives sometimes poetic, sometimes documentary, sometimes intimate, but always rooted in observation.

My photography journey is still evolving. It is a practice of seeing, remembering, and reimagining the world one frame at a time.

I have been passionate about photography since young but never took it seriously until 12yrs back. I started my journey with DSLR photography when I was based in Mumbai. I started with macro photography flowers, rain drops, insects, butterflies and slowly moved to birds, wildlife and nature as I gained experience and knowledge in this field in Delhi. I am a self-taught photographer who has learned through my own hard work, talent and help from fellow photographers. I started doing photography of monuments, street, food, portraits and festival photography also. Today I do all genres of photography as my passion, and this passion has been growing to learn more about this amazing way of looking at the world through my lens. Now I carry my camera wherever I go. Even if it is not a DSLR , mobile shots are a must.

Inherited from my maternal grandfather, photography is in the genes. Started photographing from the age of eight. Used to spend vacation time in uncle’s photo studio in Kankipadu, AP. Not interested in contests. Not a great photographer. Horrible on people and portraits. Just take photographs for narcissistic satisfaction!

I am Srinivas Kandukuree from Hyderabad, driven by a deep love for capturing details that tell a story beyond what we see. My photography journey began in childhood with a simple Kodak camera, where curiosity first met creativity. Those early days of capturing everyday moments slowly shaped my eye for detail and composition. As my interest grew, I moved on to a Canon point-and-shoot, which gave me more control and confidence to explore photography seriously.

The real turning point came with the Canon 60D DSLR. I spent a significant amount of time focusing on portraits, learning how to work with light, expressions, and framing. Portrait photography helped me understand storytelling through a subject’s emotions and subtle details.

Over time, my passion expanded into wildlife photography. I transitioned to the Nikon D500 paired with a 200–500mm lens, which opened up a completely new world. Capturing birds and animals in their natural habitat taught me patience, timing, and precision.

Currently, I use the Nikon Z8 with a 500mm PF lens. My primary interest lies in bird portraits, where I strive to capture intricate details—feathers, expressions, and moments often missed by the naked eye. I also enjoy macro photography, exploring the tiny wonders of nature
